Armed Robbery At Dealer: Car Dealerships In Long Island At Risk!

One of the perils most car dealers are always forced to contend with is the issue of robbery. Over time, most car dealerships all across the country have all had a fair share of a robbery attack. Some dealers were lucky enough that the culprit was later apprehended, others who are not as lucky is still attending to their bruises while counting their loss, as the lucky robber basks in the reflection of sheer luck.

Well, a sad one occurred just about a month ago in Sound Beach, Suffolk County. The incident which reportedly happened just before 9 p.m. on a Saturday of October 19.

Clips obtained from the surveillance video shows the suspect, who walked up with a gun pulled out, to the employee of CND Automotive situated at Echo Avenue in Sound Beach. According to the local authorities, the suspect outrightly demanded of the employee to hand over the cash from the register to him.

Of course, the employee having no other clear set alternative handed over the money from the register to the robber, who subsequently skidded off with his loot.

The local Police on Sound Beach, Suffolk County of Long Island, is still at the heels of the suspected robber, who, from all evidence gathered, is the brain behind the robbery at the dealership.

With regard to this, the County Crime Stoppers has expressed unequivocal and unflagging determination, towards apprehending the robbery mastermind. The Suffolk establishment is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for anyone with vital information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect.

This incident, no doubt, has further reawakened the inherent agitation that has been in the restive state for some times, in the heart of many Long Island auto dealers. The risk of theft is now becoming more glaring.
