Black design elements to the exterior are featured in the Altitude Special Edition, as well as eighteen-inch alloy wheels. A manual transmission is not available in this trim.
Limited
An exterior chrome trim, heated front seats, remote ignition, rearview mirror with automatic dimming, eighteen-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, manual height-adjustable passenger seat, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, an 8.4-inch touchscreen and heated seating are all added to the Limited.
Trailhawk
This vehicle has a suspension that is more appropriate for off-roading, standard all-wheel drive with gears in lower ranges and a crawl mode, hill-descent control, greater ground clearance, two tow hooks at the front and one at the back, skid plates, seventeen-inch wheels, all-season on/off-road tires, a full-size spare, all-season rubber floor mats and special styling. The Trailhawk interior adds to the Latitude’s equipment with an 8.4-inch touchscreen and cloth/leather upholstery. The Leather Interior Group essentially includes all the extra equipment of the Limited.
Where the Compass really shines, is in the Trailhawk and its off-road capabilities. On top of the low range gearing and crawl mode, the Trailhawk can clear 8.5 inches, compare that to the 7.8 or 8.2 inch clearance offered by other trims, it boasts a break over angle of 24.4 degrees, a departure angle of 33.6 and an approach angle of 30.3 degrees – these are some sweet figures considering how well it drives on the street.
Those drivers interested in off-roading are sure to be satisfied by the Trailhawk, while the other trims like the Latitude will satisfy those looking to make the most out of a performance in a compact SUV.
